DescriptionACTEX Learning is a leading specialty publishing company located in New Hartford, Connecticut seeking an energetic, Instructional Design/Multimedia Design Intern to assist in the development of eLearning and other multimedia content for the firm. At ACTEX, we are proud to be contributing to the knowledge and educational advancement of students and professionals worldwide in the field of actuarial science. We welcome you to join in this important work to share in ownership of our product offering and to develop your own professional skills. We provide an opportunity to gather knowledge in the area of eLearning/online learning, instructional design, video editing, graphic design, and much more. In addition you will also be working as a member of our team to ensure the highest quality production of our content, and customer service skills.
Responsibilities-Assist members of our staff to review, develop, and maintain eLearning content located in our learning management system (LMS).
-Design multimedia content to be used for instructional design purposes.
-Assist with customer service related tasks.
-Be willing and eager to take on special projects.
Requirements-Must be enrolled at an accredited college/university with at least one year of studies in Instructional Design, Communication Arts, Actuarial Science or a similar field.
-Experience with at least one component of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Dreamweaver, Priemere, etc.)
-Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Apple iMovie, Avid Media Composer, or Camtasia Studio.
-Highly teachable, highly proactive, energetic, superior attention to detail, multi-tasking skills.
