DescriptionAs a company, Synergy Prep endeavors to guide students in their academic careers and goals. Through our services, we hope to facilitate the growth and development of the new generation of students as they progress in their academic and professional careers.
Our goal is to go above and beyond private tutoring and provide both guidance and direction to students and parents in order to maximize their success in areas including, but not limited to, the Common Core, Specialized High School Admissions Test, SAT, and College Admissions process.
Synergy Prep is seeking to work with the best and brightest to help students better understand and prepare for such academic milestones.
ResponsibilitiesEngage in academics directly with students aged 4 to 18 individually or in small groups.
Evaluate and assess student progress to improve subject proficiency.
Lead mentorship programs to map and further student academic goals.
Collaborate with Synergy Prep administrators to help create, shape and maintain program curricula.
RequirementsPreferably rising sophomores and juniors with a minimum 3.30 GPA and 2000 SAT; Education majors are preferred, although any major may apply.
1-2 years experience working with children ages 5 to 13 and/or 14 to 18.
Ability to lead lessons in a group setting of 3 to 5 students.
Experience in creating curricula for students in elementary, middle and/or high school settings
Adept in subject areas including, but not limited to: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills to work well both independently as well as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
