Brooklyn Center for the Arts is a newly founded program (October, 2015) that seeks to provide children and adults with quality education in dance, vocal, drama and instrumental music.

We are always looking for talented individuals to join our administrative and instructional team, but the purpose of this email is to recruit for the teaching and counselor positions for our Performing Arts summer camp.

Positions are available in all musical areas: beginner band instruction (trumpet, saxophone, clarinet and trombone) and beginner keyboard instruction, as well guitar and string instruments (acoustic and electric). *We also have positions for teaching assistants.*

Treat students and coworkers with respect


In addition to musical instrument proficiency, a strong background in music theory and musicianship and basic piano skills, music teachers must also have the ability to work well with, and relate to, children of all ages. You must be able to convey your enthusiasm and excitement for music to your students to help instill them with a desire to learn. You should also continue your own musical development and participate in musical ensembles during your free time to help keep your musical skills fresh and sharp.

Applicants should preferably possess a degree in Music Performance/Music ed. or working towards.
Performance experience can substitute for formal education.
