DescriptionThe New York Preschool - with 11 New York City premier enrichment centers - is now seeking enthusiastic, professional and dedicated part-time and full-time teachers for our NAEYC accredited preschool program.
Teaching positions are Monday-Friday from 8:30 am -12:30 pm working with our Pre-2s, 2s, and 3s classrooms. Additional work is available for candidates who wish to also teach in our interdisciplinary classes which include both independent after school style classes as well as adult participation classes for infants and toddlers.
A New York Preschool teacher is;
interested in teaching in a highly physical, educational and artistic environment;
physically active, and comfortable singing with children;
will bring a high level of enthusiasm to the class each day;
enjoys working and teaching in a team environment;
has high expectations of their students;
has a high level of professionalism;
is well spoken and comfortable speaking with parents and caregivers.

ResponsibilitiesAssist teachers in classroom management and gentle separation processes.
Classroom setup and clean up.
Understand and implement provided curriculum.
Provide general assistance to maintain an environment conducive to learning.
RequirementsWe are actively seeking candidates with the following certifications:
Currently enrolled in Bachelor or Masters program in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
Currently possess or willing to obtain:
NYC Department of Investigation fingerprinting
NYS State Central Registered Child Abuse screening
Prevention of Infectious Disease Certificate
Mandated Reporter Certificate
CPR/First Aid Certification
All candidates must go through a specific New York Kids Club Teacher training program. In person and onsite classroom interviews will occur immediately.
