Description

Provide assistance to students in the ESOL program, offering one-on-one and group tutoring. Responsible for teaching conversation classes, assisting students with computer literacy and helping facilitate information sessions. Must undergo training to become a TABE (Tests of Adult Basic Education) assessor. Assist with data entry and filing and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds. Must have demonstrated interest in teaching adult students languages and language learning. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and strong internet skills required. Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian Creole a plus. Ongoing through the Fall/Spring semesters, Monday-Friday, around 8-10 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
