DescriptionEduco Tutors is a new education non- profit with the mission to provide equal supplemental education for all students, regardless of background or income. We aim to give opportunities to students with no resources to advance. We provide quality tutoring services at a lower rate. Our current goal is to provide 25% of our services at no charge for students who are unable to afford these services.
Intern Job Description
The Web Content Intern will assist with writing of content for the Educo Tutors website, and revising content as necessary. Other responsibilities may include identifying areas of improvement and expanding website content accordingly.
The intern will also be responsible for dedicating 5-10 hours weekly towards Educo Tutors social media outlets. These outlets include Facebook and Twitter. Responsibilities include writing blog posts on relevant topics for the company website, SEO keyword management, creating infographics for posts. Applicant should have an interest in educational topics and creative writing. Required skills for this position include proficient in both Microsoft Excel, Word, graphic design, and writing. Additionally, knowledge of Hootsuite, TweetDeck, and Photoshop are valued.
Intern Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
A background in writing (background in writing for the web and SEO experience preferred)
Excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Great written communication skills; ability to proofread
A positive, flexible attitude
Self motivated to complete projects and tasks efficiently
Understanding of Excel, Word, Photoshop, and graphic design
Strong grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
Interest in education
Knowledgeable on social media platforms and campaigns
This position can be done remotely and is 5-10 hours a week.
