DescriptionConnec to Talk is a privately owned clinic offering Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Social Skills Groups for students with special needs.
CTT is located in Madison, CT.
Responsibilities-Data collection on 1-4 children in a group setting
- Entering data into summary sheets
-Organizing data in student’s binder
-Entering data into Microsoft Excel
-Using Microsoft Excel to turn data into graphs
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to be immersed in active social groups with eighteen students total. The participant will be exposed to Social Thinking Curriculum© by Michelle Garcia Winner and have an opportunity to see social objectives carried out effectively in a small group setting The participant will also learn behavioral management strategies for working with students with social emotional learning challenges. The population consists of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Learning Disabilities and ADHD.
RequirementsMust have experience working with children with special needs, specifically Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Preferably with a B.A. in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Counseling, Speech and Language
