DescriptionH.E.L.P. is a community-based program that delivers one-on-one or small group tutoring for children, youth, and families, as well as training and internships for volunteer tutors. Our community program serves those 9 to Adult, and is delivered at no cost to participants, except a small registration fee. Our mission is to eradicate illiteracy and to empower the individual by training people to become competent, independent learners.
Volunteers of all levels are needed in various areas, including tutoring, administration and marketing. Tutor training program is provided under supervision to rapidly produce volunteer tutors. These tutors can continue to train and qualify to be licensed by Applied Scholastics (APS).
