DescriptionOur firm is an international healthcare consultancy that helps healthcare and health tourism businesses and governments to improve process in billing, branding, marketing, customer service, strategy, etc.
We produce many educational webinars on a variety of topics. The online education and training coordination intern will assist our consultants with setup, production and promotion of our training webinars using our new software platform, Webinar Jam and EverWebinar.
This is an excellent internship for a human resources major who is interested in training, training needs assessment, and capacity development. The international aspect of our work means that this would also be of interest to a student of international development, Millennium Development Goals, poverty eradication, skills building, and the like. Our goal is to produce at least 100 webinars in 2016, and train more than 1000 individuals in as many as 200 countries in 2016. The training courses we provide are short, focused, and low cost and provide or enhance marketable job skills for students.
Our webinars cover technical training that is not available in colleges and university courses or vocational technical education settings.
Upon completion of the 6-month internship, we intend to hire (W2 if in Colorado) or subcontract (10-99 working remote) at least one of the three interns for a remunerative position with our company on a full time or part time basis. The permanent job would be to manage the webinar /online education department going forward on an hourly pay + performance bonus arrangement and to train others to assist you in production and marketing and course creation.
ResponsibilitiesSuccessful intern would be responsible for:
Learning the two tools (Everwebinar and WebinarJam) - all production steps and processes
Documenting our internal processes for our quality management system
Creating metrics, and developing the training goals and objectives of each webinar
Identifying "who should attend" for each webinar and the "why" behind each ideal student persona
Working remotely with the experts who will present the webinar training (coordinating times, topics, etc.)
Setting up any payment portals, tracking results, accounting and bookkeeping for the education unit
Scheduling webinars and Everwebinar replay opportunities
Managing the chat utility during webinars
RequirementsSolid skills in English language, bonus: any additional language fluency (especially the languages of developing nations).
Understanding of social media marketing
Courses in learning design, curriculum development and online learning techniques would be helpful, as well as coursework in organizational development, educational psychology, learning theory, testing and measurement, etc.
Strong attention to detail.
