Primary responsibility to facilitate Work Readiness (Soft Skills) Workshops utilizing web-based software from Conover Company. May be required to push in to school districts to offer workshops to larger groups of 8-10 students.


Setup intakes meeting with student and family, and circle of support team which may include teachers, school and transition counsellors, VR representation, etc.
Push in to schools on the eastside, west side, school for the deaf, etc.) for intake and workshops 1 or 2X per week for 6 weeks afterschool sessions 3:00 – 4:30PM
Lead group discussions in the 8 areas of Work Readiness as outlined in Conover Resources, and also Job Seeking and Job Keeping Soft Skill areas
Handle paperwork such as permission slips, bus transportation and medical alerts as needed
Ensure lessons plans/workbooks are completed and copied as needed for instruction
Assist Consumers, who need a professional e-mail addres,s with setting up a google e-mail account to be used just for employment related activities.
Assist students with typing up a resume and e-mailing to their e-mail or new google e-mail address and copy to CAREER PLUS AGENCY LLC
Print Work Readiness Credential once student completes all required levels (Job Readiness, Job Seeking, & Job Keeping)
Write up final report for 620X (attaching Career Academy data and reports) merging PDF files and e-mail to CAREER PLUS AGENCY LLC for Zipping
For In-House Work Readiness Continuous Open Enrollment sessions:
Set up Career Academy Log in and passwords for each student as needed
Track progress on Career Academy tutorials and provide additional supplemental worksheets and support as needed
Schedule and Coordinate Resume and Interview Work Shops once consumer(s) completes Job Readiness Career Academy Tutorials


Associate’s Degree preferred or High School Diploma with demonstrated experience and certificates in Supported Employment or Vocational Rehabilitation required.
Two years of work experience in a classroom setting, job coach / job developer role preferred.
Valid New York State driver’s license.
Ability and willingness to travel anywhere in Monroe County and surrounding counties as needed.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as it pertains to the changing needs of the caseload. Must be available for Work Readiness Workshops offered both in the am, pm and after school hours.
Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and the Internet.
Ability to establish and cultivate productive relationships with potential employers required.
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with individuals on caseload, employers and colleagues required.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines required
