About KID Museum:
KID Museum is a new type of children’s museum in Montgomery County geared toward elementary and middle school-age children (ages 6-14) that focuses on cultivating the next generation’s skills, aptitudes and vision to become innovative, empathetic leaders of the future.

KID Museum is built on three core themes:
(1) Engagekids in imaginative and creative “maker” activities that integrate science, technology, engineering, math and art
(2) Encouragekids to explore world cultures and appreciate diversity
(3) Promotesocial responsibility and active global citizenship

In October of 2014 KID Museum launched a new 7,500 square foot program space that brings a nationally recognized model of hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programming to Montgomery County and the DC region. KID Museum serves as an incubator for the 21st century skills children need in order to be successful. For more information, please visit www.kid-museum.org.

The Writing Intern would commit to 3 - 6 hours per week, including some weekend time, and would be responsible primarily for writing regular blog posts about KID Museum happenings.

Candidates should have strong writing skills, and a good work ethic. Visits to the museum are required for gathering material, but the writing itself can be done either on or off-site.
