Facilities Engineering Student Intern-Boulder, CO
This position is at the Lexmark facility located just outside of Boulder, Colorado. This facility houses development, engineering, and manufacturing for supplies of Lexmarks extensive line of laser printers.
The facilities engineering department is seeking a summer student intern to assist in improvement activities for complex process-related HVAC systems. The student will use their engineering knowledge to work with department engineers on the evaluation of the performance of the air handling systems with the objective of improving reliability. Responsibilities may include: working with engineers and maintenance technicians to identify problematic air handler operation; defining improvement opportunities; determining costs associated with improvements; implementing improvements.
-Completed junior year of mechanical engineering undergraduate program
-Interested in working in a problem solving, team-based environment
-Enthusiastic learner with strong oral and written communication skills
-Interested in a hands-on engineering project (esp. trouble-shooting mechanical/electrical/controls elements of complex air handling systems)
-Ability to use MS Excel and Powerpoint
