DescriptionJLM Strategic Talent Partners is a firm specializing in the transportation/infrastructure/construction industry, and providing project based strategic talent services. Most of our work is related to heavy civil engineering projects, such as construction of railway, freeways and bridges.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated student for a paid internship position. This will be a fantastic opportunity for a young engineer to:
Learn about the industry, projects and key players;
Understand project flow and project related processes;
Network with and meet experienced project managers and engineers;
Learn essential soft skills, such as communication, working with people and critical thinking, needed to be successful in any job.
ResponsibilitiesThis internship will focus on business development aspect of our business. In this context, intern will be responsible for:
Researching current and planned heavy civil engineering projects related to transportation and infrastructure;
Identifying project timelines and parties involved in the project including companies responsible for execution of the project;
Identifying key project managers involved in the project and initiating contact;
Attending project related events with business development manager to network and meet with key players (as needed);
Assisting the team with administrative tasks with regards to recruitment and operations as needed.
RequirementsAn ideal candidate for this internship will:
Be an engineering student, preferably civil engineering,
Available at least three days a week from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.
