BURN is currently seeking a mission driven candidate for a 12-month Clean Cookstove Design Engineer Fellowship in our Vashon, WA office and lab. The Fellow will be supported and supervised by our Chief Technical Offer.





Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the position include

• Conceptual and detailed design of clean burning biomass cookstoves for East Africa
• Reading technical plans, using CAD (SolidWorks) and completing product build out
• Experience in sheet metal forming, welding, and general metal fabrication is an asset

Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design
• Proficient in CAD, specifically SolidWorks


Desired Experience

• Individual preference for hands on learning and projects
• Reading technical plans and completion of final product build out
• Producing technical plans, drawings, and models preferred
