Supplier Quality Engineer
Department: Supplier Quality & Development

POSITION SUMMARY

Utilize SQD processes, procedures, and tools during prototype and pre-production component and BU system development phases to ensure successful launch. ASQE will be assigned to BU program(s).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage to launch (PPAP) all proto/production tools/fixtures/jigs for YNCA designed components sourced to external suppliers on assigned Business Unit programs.
o Obtain all necessary program information (NCR, drawings, program timing, etc)
o Kickoff, manage, and, ensure successful completion of all APQP tasks with Commodity, Advance Purchasing, Engineering, BU, Affiliate, Supplier, etc…
o Conduct kickoff/coordination meetings, project reviews, risk assessments, tool progress reviews, process sign-off (PSO), and PPAP approval
o Coordinate design reviews as needed
o Ensure all data sources are updated with current information (Tool Tracking, APQP, etc)
o Manage and develop relationships with suppliers sourced on assigned program
o Conduct handoff meeting(s) after PPAP with assigned production SQE.
• Manage all external supplier advance quality activities for launching BU programs
o YPMS tasks
 Missing PPAP status
 Risk Assessments
 Identification of high quality risk components
 APQP/Tool Updates
 Launch Performance
• Support NSF process
o Conduct doc/data and onsite supplier assessments of new supplier and new supplier locations
• Manage/Support Supplier Manual content/updating
• Support any assigned SICR tasks
• Manage/Support Green Supplier of the Year program
• Interface with internal customers regarding ASQE activities
• Develop and manage yearly objectives
• Support/implement all SQD processes, procedures, and initiatives
• Prepare, update, and communicate required presentations, data, issue status, reports, etc.
• Develop, manage, and perform any other tasks as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree Requirements: Technical degree (Engineering Preferred) or job experience in lieu of degree
Certification Requirements: Applicable professional certification preferred.
Previous Experience: Manufacturing/Quality/Program Management experience (2 years)
Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel to domestic/international locations on short notice
On Call Requirements: Yes
Physical Requirements: Office position – primarily sedentary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable an individual with disability to perform the essential functions.
