Description'New England Audio Rental' is a sound and lighting production company based in Boston, MA. We’ve served the New England area for over a decade, offering our clients a world-class selection of sound, lighting, and video equipment for any occasion or special event. We are a one stop source for event professionals, DJs, and anyone in need of audio and visual equipment rentals including projectors, screens, led lighting, microphones, mixers, speakers, turntables and much, much more.
We are looking for someone interested in learning about the technical setup and day-to-day operations of an audio and visual rental company. The open position is for equipment techs that will learn how to setup, troubleshoot and work on audio and lighting production equipment. Duties include assisting the rental department by pulling clients equipment orders and putting it together in a package. You will be working hands-on with the equipment, learning about the functionality of it, and how it’s applied in the field.
ResponsibilitiesTechnical Assistant Related Tasks May Include:
• Make sure all equipment is in good working condition before going out.
• Track all equipment that goes out and comes back in.
• Cleans and maintains company vehicle.
• Setup and program lighting.
• Setup PA systems, microphones and mixing boards.
• Load, unload, deliver and setup rental products to customers.
• Repair audio and lighting products
• Keeps company tools and equipment organized.
• Creates and presents reports for weekly meetings.
• Travel for installations.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment issues.
