Recording Artist Booking Intern, Social Media/Marketing Intern & Executive Assistant.
1. Recording Artist Booking Intern:
Description: Looking for hard-working, positive, business savvy intern who are passionate about music and the business side of entertainment. Seeking someone who is looking to gain experience in artist booking. Interns will have the opportunity to be hands-on and gain valuable experience working directly with management executives. This is a great experience to learn what it takes to become a professional booking agent. Every successful artist has a powerful studio behind it & we want you to be a part of our team!
Distribution & Retail
.Put together and send pitches to retail stores for in-store performances
.Put together weekly calendar updates for all events booked
.Research and develop ''hip'' and relevant lifestyle contacts and incorporate music into outlets (i.e. coffee shops, boutiques, skate shops, restaurants, record stores, etc)
Tour Marketing & booking
.Invite local media out to shows
.Set up in-store radio performances/interviews
.Contact venues to book shows for artists
.Contact/pitch to booking agents about artists

2. Social Media/Marketing Intern:
Description: Our established marketing/social media team is looking for a committed student eager to learn about promotional strategies within the entertainment industry.
Candidates must possess strong written and verbal skills, familiarity with social media, computer/internet savvy skills, a strong work ethic, and great time management skills.
Internship focus will be to assist with online communities for a high-profile band, executing social media initiatives, customer support, writing marketing copy for e-mail blasts and websites, and online community engagement. Additional internship duties may include conducting music/entertainment related research, pitching new ideas, administrative work, and assisting with all company projects. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. As an intern, you’ll be an essential part of our team and will have a great time while learning a lot about the marketing and entertainment industries.
3. Executive Assistant:
Description: Looking for part-time entry level music businesses and marketing intern for established artist management company. Tasks include working with marketing through social media and online efforts, PR support, scheduling meetings, conference calls, general follow-up on special projects, maintain release schedule, draft internal and external communications. Other duties include upkeep of intranet documents, concert and artist calendar, helping set up press passes for writers and photographers, working with press contacts to set up interviews. Looking for someone with a positive attitude, good work ethic and has a passion for music and the industry.
RequirementsInternships are not paid and can be used for college credit, if it meets your university specifications. Minimum 4 month commitment and must be available at least 10-15 hours per week.
Must be a creative thinker that is able to work 10-15 hours a week independently with reliable Internet access from own location.
- Must have your own laptop
- Must have knowledge of social networking websites (facebook, myspace, etc.)
- Must have a car
- Must be able to work in office a minimum of 3 days a week.
- Must be able to work some late nights at the office or at shows
- Must be familiar with Music blogs and how they work
- Must have a strong passion for music. Music industry knowledge is preferred.
