The Daily Grind Radio Show, originated out of Philadelphia, PA is a LIVE entertainment Internet radio show. We pride ourselves on being Philly’s #1 radio show on the web. Our show provides a paramount and positive platform for today’s musicians, artists, politicians, young entrepreneurs, TV stars and many more to lend their voice and be heard. This platform encourages individuals to think out of the box and achieve beyond todays status quos. The mission for our show is to educate and empower our listeners through insightful, informative and invigorating content. The Daily Grind Radio Show keeps you updated with our one-on-one celebrity interviews, community updates, city news, lifestyle and business tips, contest giveaways, promotions, and much more. The show is comprised of business spotlights, music, guest of the day, Q&A’s from our callers and social network interactions. In addition to the show, the Daily Grind also takes our services mobile by way of school workshops, community service, on site broadcasting, event hosting, and event coverage. It is very important for us to be a staple in the community. We enjoy giving back to those in need. Every other week you can catch the Daily Grind on the Ben Franklin Parkway feeding the homeless a hot meal and giving out clothing. The position for the media intern is for 15-20 hours a week which are very flexible. Every Sunday from 1:30 to 4pm are physical hours in addition to attending events for celebrity/press coverage and editing the footage. Events coverage varies by week. Must be able to produce a reasonable turnover rate footage.

Responsibilities

- Assist in all aspects of video and photographic communications and contribute to planning and storyboarding
- Assist in the end-to-end process from storyboarding to logistics to shooting to editing and publishing
- Film video and shoot photographs in studio and field environments
- Record desktop computer screens and actions for demo and training videos
- Use existing original and stock footage to produce new videos
- Contribute to mixing and editing to create polished and engaging videos
- Publish videos primarily to the web and touch-up still photography

Requirements

- Must have own software and camera
- Have the potential to deliver videos and photos that succinctly and clearly tell the desired story
- Ability to deliver videos with cuts, graphics, sound and other elements that convey a quality production value and a level of technical sophistication
- Experience with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Captivate and Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledge of digital videography and photography cameras and equipment
