This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media.
PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.
Graphic design, video and copy editing experience is a plus
An eye and a thirst for style, technology and design aligned with the "Respect The Pound" brand.
We are looking for an intern with a strong interest in social media and will be shadowing our managing editor/site coordinator.
Responsibilities• Keep up with trending topics and pitch articles around them
• Update Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and other social media sites
• Work closely with the editor-in-chief or site coordinator to assist in updating and improving both the editorial calendar and social media presence of the site
• Must be able to attend industry and entertainment related events
RequirementsMust live in or be able to commute to New York City. NO EXCEPTIONS
Must be available 2+ days a week
Minimum 3 month commitment
Teamwork etiquette and professionalism
Creativity and fresh ideas
Must have a sense of a humor
Must be open and willing to be filmed
Must have a laptop (iPad or Tablet is a plus)
