MACK 9 MUSIC GROUP is an independent record, publishing and artist management company located in busy downtown Seattle. We do a wide variety of music and are currently enjoying the start up phase of our company.

M9MG is looking for interns to join our team and learn the ropes of artist management and the music industry (publishing, licensing, contract negotiations, tour routing, artist scheduling, promotion and publicity).

The intern hired for this position should expect to be involved in all aspects of the music industry/Music Business and artist management.

In return the intern should bring essential skills to this position: excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to work independently on important projects, and most importantly, a strong interest in the arts and music industry.

Interns will be assisting the Founder of the company in several areas including office work, marketing and research, listening to new music, working with our vendors, clients and artists.

The internship would take place at the company's office in downtown Seattle from now through the summer.


• Organize company schedule and documents.
Publishing Administration
• Assist in carrying out advertising/marketing strategies.
• Assist in creation of everything from album covers to merchandise and much more.
• Perform background research
• Assist with implementation of new programs
• Develop promotional materials
• Perform online marketing and promotion
• Assist with documentation and analysis of program/concerts/tours


Applicant must have an interest in the music industry. Applicant must have a working knowledge of the current music landscape. Excellent computer skills are a must, with experience working on the Web and in social media. Excellent research, written and oral communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are important. Needs to be able to work independently with minimal supervision. A strong interest in entering a position in the music industry in marketing, promotion, publicity, artist management, booking and or music publishing. --is vital. Prefer art, drama, marketing or music (performance, management, business, law) majors. Good for someone looking to get hands on experience in the music industry.
