Description

We are a local community radio station located in the downtown Atlanta area. Website is 879theglobe.com. All positions are on the job training as necessary.

Responsibilities

RADIO BOARD OPERATORS AND ENGINEERS
To perform announcements and play music.
Set up and troubleshoot mixing boards, microphones, electronic and mechanical components along with computer software used for editing and broadcasting audio.
Equalizes the volumes of the microphone channels, providing a level and consistent audio broadcast.
Assist in the creation of production audio.
Edit to meet time constraints.
Understand industry practices concerning compliance with broadcast guidelines provided by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.

VIDEOGRAPHERS
Direct multi-camera studio equipment and video switching.
Generate and insert on-screen text and graphics in live productions using cameras, DVRs, switching equipment and an edit controller.
Stream video for a variety of Internet uses and formats.
Prepare secondary footage for use in live productions.
Perform routine video and audio equipment maintenance.
Set up and placement of lighting and audio equipment.
Review footage and use editing software to insert computer graphics and special effects.
Understand industry practices concerning compliance with broadcast guidelines provided by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.

SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST
We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.
Responsibilities
Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.

Requirements
Proven working experience in social media or related field.
Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
