DescriptionSuccessful stand-up comedy production team seeking apprentices/interns for marketing support, bookings, business development and research requirements.
There are a few positions available and this is as much about team building as it is filling specific roles. We'd like to think that you've got some good things to add and would rather learn about that than have you feel precluded for any reasons [what we're saying is if you love comedy, entertainment, live shows etc. GET IN TOUCH! ]
Successful applicants will be fearless and ambitious, able to work unsupervised and results focused.
Generous commission pay exists for all opportunities you generate that deliver money to the company.
Telecommute is OK but we would like to meet with you initially at the very least [California based preferable].
Current market penetration/success includes venues/events in New England and Southern California. Looking to expand to PacNW, NorCal, SW/Texas to begin. We've got some good stuff to build on together.
This is opportunity to learn, earn money and move in to a full time gig.
Got ideas? Let's hear 'em.
You will be briefed on the calendar for 2016/2017 and will be able to choose which areas your strengths and desires fit best.
There are numerous possibilities and once this is agreed upon your efforts will be aimed there.
Ultimately you're speaking with and communicating needs to outside parties to drive the artist forward. This can be anything from publishing to show booking to merchandising etc. [to wit: there's flexibility].
A willingness to learn and think creatively & critically and the ability to realize that life can be a blast if you let it are critical.
Requirements1. Lover of comedy
2. Tech-savvy [android, google [maps, calendar etc.]]
3. SEO knowledge & online presence management [facebook, Instagram, twitter, reverbnation, bandsintown etc. ]
The ability to speak to people who you would consider way above your pay grade without fear or trepidation [you're the boss!].
Send a covering email with your resume. Please give us a feel for the type of comedy and music you appreciate along with your name and phone number and good times to call.
