The RapFest is an innovative Hip-Hop based media platform that produces exclusive content that can be found on various major web publication such as MTV Jams. The RapFest is a start-up business that is rapidly leaving its mark and impacting Hip-Hop, fulfilling a major void. The RapFest is looking to expand its core team with people that are passionate and dedicated to the cause of The RapFest.


Advance knowledge of all social media platforms
Exceptional organizational skills
Exceptional communication and writing skills
Advanced Knowledge of Hip-Hop culture
Active in multiple Social Media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr. Etc)
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of breaking news, stories, current events and updates
Intermediate- Advanced knowledge of WordPress
Strong verbal and writing presence
Able to work under high pressure and in a timely manner
Have motivation and drive
Have charisma and confidence
Strong ability to network, especially with the community.
Thick Skin

Preferably (However, not mandatory):
Live in the greater New York City area
Already have a contact book or relationship with VIPs, stars or executives
Prior experience in spotlight, social media and hosting
Bachelors in PR, Social Media, Communication, or business


The Social Media intern will be the representative of The RapFest’s online presence. The intern will utilize social networking to connect with industry professionals, VIPs, and the online community. With guidance from The RapFest staff, the intern will learn to create and develop relationships with possible collaborators, investors and potential clients. The social media personnel will HAVE to stay informed of current events and breaking news, especially Hip-Hop Culture based. They will need to know developments in the story as they happen and be ready to report or write about the events. Along with reporting news, the social media personnel also will have to write press releases for clients.

They will also be in charge of generating buzz and traffic to, as well as its social media platforms. Some of the daily tasks will include: organizing portfolios of clients, analyses the efficiency and effectiveness of the PR techniques and methods, then be able to come up with solutions and idea.
