DescriptionThe Environmental Intern will be responsible for assisting in all operational tasks in connection with IVI Telecom Services, Inc., including but not limited to, the effective completion of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Assessments, Section 106 (historic) surveys and other environmental studies necessary for telecommunications infrastructure development or relocation.
The responsibilities will consist of administrative duties, including sorting, tracking and filing correspondence with various federal, state, local, tribal and public entities along with researching, and assisting in preparing exhibits and finalizing reports. The responsibilities will also include occasional site visits to the field.

Responsibilities•Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat, Google Earth and other mapping programs;
•Outstanding organization and ability to multi task and simultaneously track numerous projects;
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Phone calls to project contacts will be an integral part of the job duties; and
•Working towards a Bachelor of Science in environmental science, geology, engineering, architecture, archaeology, historic architecture, geographic information systems (GIS) or a related field desired.

Requirements•Preparing, tracking and ensuring progression of projects via Outlook, Excel, Access and/or Gateway of all Consultations including but not limited to: Public Notifications, Public Consultations, Tribal Consultations & SHPO Consultations. This will include a weekly review of work and updating the NEPA / Section 106 tracker;
•Manage and filing of correspondence (i.e. letters, memos, faxes, emails, etc.) and updating project tracker accordingly;
•Assisting in the preparation of Phase I ESAs, NEPA Assessments and other environmental studies; and
•Submitting and tracking deliverables to clients, various government agencies and other interested parties
