Description

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's) is a term that applies to food that has been genetically altered in a way that could not happen naturally. GMO's are in over a third of all processed food and yet federal law does not require food producers identify whether a food has been produced with genetic engineering. The movement to create transparency is happening around the world and we are working to pass a state law that will mandate the labeling of GMO's. New Yorkers deserve the right to know about GMO's in our food!
