DescriptionWe are Ohio's largest non-profit environmental and consumer advocacy group with an almost 40 year history of winning groundbreaking campaigns. Amongst other landmark victories, we've passed the first Toxic Right to Know law in the country, exposed major political corruption in Ohio, and pioneered a truly community-based structure of organizing. Now we need you to help tackle Ohio's most urgent problem: Dirty Coal!
The Cincinnati office is currently hiring campaign staff to organize local grassroots campaigns to protect the health, economy, environment and livelihood of Ohio communities. Ideal candidates possess strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to the environment, progressive politics, and the empowerment of our fellow Ohio residents.
Our grassroots organizers speak to Ohio citizens about real issues, informing and educating the public, building support and channeling that support into Action!
Responsibilities- Educating community members on our campaign goals
- Building community support through fundraising
- Engaging legislators through letter writing
- Putting together weekly canvass drives for the team
Requirements- Good communication skills
