Description

The Conrad-Caldwell House is now accepting resumes for a 2017 Special Events Intern. Our Special Events Intern will assist with wedding and event rentals as well as the planning of several of the museum’s annual events.

Responsibilities

In addition to the day-to-day special events responsibilities, interns will be responsible for:

-Giving public tour, with training, two weeks into internship
-Mandatory attendance is required by all interns at the events that coincide with your internship time frame:
Spring Event- Fleur-de-lis on Fourth
Summer Events- Louisville on the Lawn and Elegant, Exuberant and Alive Home Tour
Fall Events- 3 days of St. James Court Art Show, Sleeping with the Spirits, Holiday Décor Party, 2 days of
Victorian Tea
-Answering the door and phone
-Handling sales transactions in the gift shop
-Provide 15 minute presentation detailing projects and learning outcomes to staff and other interns
-Assist with events set-up when needed

Requirements

Candidate must be organized, a self-starter, sales driven, have excellent verbal skills, multi-tasker

High school diploma/GED
