Description

Connecticut Society for Association Executives (CSAE) specializes in serving top executives of not-for-profit organizations and their management level staff. Our mission is to enhance the professionalism of association executives through education, information, and networking opportunities.

Responsibilities

The Event Planner Intern will be responsible for coordinating events in the Connecticut area. The intern will oversee the administrative processes associated with the pre-event and post-event phases. You will be responsible for maintaining guest satisfaction for the duration of the events. Finally, intern will work with other interns, staff, and volunteers in the areas of event planning, marketing, and membership development. The goal of this internship is to help us reach potential members, increase our membership numbers, and increase the number of attendees at our events. You’ll gain invaluable skills in event planning, co-hosting, and more!

Requirements

: An outgoing, enthusiastic individual with prior experience in event planning. You have excellent communications skills and a basic knowledge and comfort in learning our team development process. Most importantly, we are looking for interns with enthusiasm, dedication, a thirst for learning, and the self-motivation to work independently. You must be proficient with technology and have a computer, phone, internet access, and an email account. All are encouraged to apply regardless of age, career, or educational background.
