The Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) is the nation's leading nonprofit voluntary health organization dedicated to finding the causes of and cure for lupus and providing support and services to all people affected by lupus. The LFA, Florida Chapter serves the 100,000 individuals living with lupus and their loved ones.

Job Description:
The Intern will assist the Development Department with key tasks as they relate to the chapter’s fundraising events: event logistics; public relations support; and maintaining open lines of communication between key personnel, vendors, volunteers, and event participants. The intern will:
• Assist in planning, promotion and implementation of fundraising and programs events
• Help coordinate logistics such as sponsors, vendors & volunteers for fundraising and programs events.
• Assist with traditional & social media efforts, as well as grassroots promotional initiatives.
• Assist with drafting & publishing organizational E-Newsletters

Requirements

Qualifications:
Student must be currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Business, Non-profit Management or a closely related field. Strong computer, writing and communication skills are necessary for successful completion of duties.
