DescriptionMeak Productions, the World's First LGBT EXCLUSIVE Talent Agency, Casting & Production Company, is seeking wholesome & qualified persons to be a part of our Special Projects Division Internship, which includes working on our Signature Special Events: The Annual LGBT Career Fair & Technology Center Expo, The St. Valentine's Lovers Ball, The Transparency Awards and other events.
ResponsibilitiesSelected candidate will be the executive liaison between our company and potential clients and/or vendors.
Assist with production of signature events and event planning.
Administrative duties associated with event management
Working with the Marketing Department and Executive Management in identifying and securing Sponsors for Signature Events.
Assist and support in writing letters to potential vendors and creating sponsor/vendor packets or information kits.
Assist with publicity ventures
Recruit additional staff and labor support for events.
Assist and Support with social marketing and promotional ideas.
Promote Signature Events along with Marketing Team
Train and Manage event staff and labor support
Assist with Event Design and Decor
NOTE: Other additional duties related to this position will be explain further during initial interview.
RequirementsIdeal candidates should be majoring in Event Management, Hospitality or any of the related field.
Selected persons will have knowledge of the LGBT Community, Gay Entertainment and Special Events
In addition, our firm is heavily involved with Atlanta Black Gay Pride. Our internship period for the summer ends one week after Labor Day weekend. If you are home for the summer and attend school outside of Metro Atlanta, we will still consider you but be mindful that your workload will increase after July 4 as we make final preparations for Pride.
Previous Experiences A PLUS.
Must be a member of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Community. (this needs to be indicated on your application.)
Must have own transportation, be reliable, great communication skills, computer literate, self-starter, professional and a social networker.
NOTE: MUST BE PASSIONATE ABOUT BEING FULL-TIME IN THE HOSPITALITY, EVENT PLANNING & SPECIAL EVENTS INDUSTRY!
