DescriptionSmall Business and Non-Profit starting up with a few projects related to health, condos, etc. This position is located in Midtown Atlanta. Most work can be done virtual although you will have to come to office at least 10 hours/month. Intern will be multi-talented and will be assisting Director/Owner of the business. Internship is for 10/hours week which is 40hours/month minimum. ($8/hour).
Can work from home, however, will need to come into office occasionally to get assignments.
Responsibilities1. Assist with all aspects-- planning and implementation of program and conference events, and logistics.
o Serve as the director’s assistant.
o Develop and contact sponsorships
o Assist with pre and post survey implementation and data entry.
o Work with marketing to create marketing tools, email templates, etc.
o Assist with social media sites.
o Monitor project calendar, ensuring project is on schedule and in budget
RequirementsMUST live in a Hub-Zone (either here (Atlanta area or your home state). Prefer that your driver's license has the Hub-Zone address. We seek a hard-working, motivated, self-starter to assist with research, analysis, sponsorship support, social media and administrative needs. Candidates must be able to work with minimum supervision and commit to at least twelve weeks and 10 hours per week. This position allows the intern to gain valuable experience, as well as a formal letter of recommendation upon satisfactory completion of the internship. Intern will receive priority consideration for new opportunities, paid and unpaid.
High school diploma and some college experience (undergraduate or graduate students are welcome). Possesses strong computer and organizational skills; results-oriented and detailed oriented; proven writing skills and self-starter. Open to all majors. Must be resourceful, have telephone etiquette and good at follow-up.
