DescriptionCharisma Events & Consulting, David’s Bridal Preferred Wedding Planner, is a full service event planning company that specializes in planning and coordinating weddings, and other special events.
At the moment we are serving southern California, but we are in the process of opening a second branch in Dallas, TX.
We are looking to hire an intern as a Personal Assistant mid January 2014 (Major: Business Communication, Communication/Journalism, Hospitality). The Personal Assistant internship is for CREDIT ONLY. The ideal candidate must possess strong customer service, be a strong writer, and possess strong project and time management skills. Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Documents is a plus.
ResponsibilitiesHands on experience will include assisting lead event planner in daily office activities, and being the support person for all major events. You will manage meetings, appointments, and be responsible for the majority of client communication. Additional responsibilities will include attending bridal shows and other business related events, writing press releases, and other administrative projects.
RequirementsStrong Project & Time Management skills
Currently enrolled in school and preferably using this opportunity for course credit
Available mid January 2014 - mid May 2014
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated and a fast learner
Self-starter who takes initiative
Outgoing and personable
This position is 15-20 hours per week. You will be able to work from home most days. Must own a laptop, cell phone and have reliable transportation.
