DescriptionPlatinum Design & Eventz is a full service event planning, design and consulting firm. We service the Birmingham area along with the Southeast region. We welcome you to Platinum Design & Eventz.

ResponsibilitiesBefore the event, the organization typically has invitations to send out, speakers or talent to book, publicity to post, among other duties. Depending on the skill level, a volunteer may process mailings, type up a guest list, write out name-tags, record RSVPs or call special guests. These jobs require volunteers with computer literacy, the ability to follow detailed directions and write legibly, and a pleasant phone demeanor.
Setup for the Event
The day of the event typically brings food to prepare, equipment and furniture to set-up, displays to assemble or signs to post. Events planners expect volunteers to arrive on time or even early, ready to work, and capable of moving and lifting heavy objects such as tables and chairs. Most importantly, volunteers must remain calm under pressure and give assistance when asked.
During the Event
Once the event starts, volunteers typically greet arriving guests, serve food or beverages, direct visitors, hang coats, hand out information or even manage other volunteers
Once the event has concluded, may or may not clean-up and closing duties.
