The internship is for a Wedding Assistant / Coordinator position. An ideal candidate has outstanding customer service skills and should be enthusiastic about learning more about the wedding industry. Candidate sees a long term future in event planning. Candidate should also have a strong desire to develop into a wedding planner through being a wedding assistant.
The internship offers limited hours. Hours are on weekends only. The candidate should be available on Friday evenings and all day Saturday for consideration on approximately 2 weekends per month. This position has the potential to become a full time position for the right candidate.

ResponsibilitiesDesired Skills & Experience
Well organized, ability to multi-task and handle many different roles
Creative and self-driven using initiative for day to day tasks
Familiar with event coordinating/organization/problem solving
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision
Attend initial consultation, details/walk through meeting, and final meeting with client(s)
Attend and direct rehearsals
Distribute timelines to wedding party and family members at rehearsals
Arrive 2-3 hours prior to ceremony start for wedding day setup
Follow detailed timeline that will be provided to you
Assist coordinator from setup through breakdown on wedding day
RequirementsHigh school degree
Some Hospitality Management or Marketing college work completed
