Description

Do you have a passion for weddings? Do you have good organizational skills? Are you eager to roll up your sleeves and get a little dirty? Do you want to get behind the scenes and work in the trenches of the wedding industry? We are looking for you!

RSVP Weddings & Events is a sole proprietorship that specializes in Day of Wedding and Event coordination for D.I.Y. couples. We are looking for an intern to support the owner/lead event planner, handle office work and also assist on event days.

This is an unpaid internship, may count for college credit, with potential to grow with the business. Position also includes researching material for blog and other online postings. This is a great opportunity to learn and receive hands-on experience within the event planning industry.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate MUST have a passion for weddings and other special events. Required skills include being extremely organized, detail oriented, mature, responsible, outgoing, and a great sense of humor (you WILL need it). Good communication skills are a must, weekend availability to assist with weddings/events (not every weekend- most work will be done during the week on your own time). General computer skills, including Microsoft office and Internet savvy. Assist with blog posts, social media (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter), monthly newsletter, research, and maintaining website.

• Intern must have their own laptop/computer to work on for internship purposes.
• Intern must have their own vehicle (negotiable).
• Preference for students with some previous internship experience and/or other activities related to their major, but not required.
• Open for immediate start.

Responsibilities

Assist onsite at events
Assist with the planning of events
Assist with event research
Assist with data entry
Social Media Updates
Etc.

Love for style & event planning
College student looking for internship credit (preferred)
Must live in Santa Barbara area (SB, Goleta, Carpinteria, Montecito, Summerland, etc.) as most events will take place in SB or surrounding areas)
Must have own laptop/computer to work on for internship purposes.
Must have own vehicle (negotiable).
