Event Design & Rentals Company Seeks Intern with GREAT attitude

Dish Wish is a full service tabletop design and rental company specializing in the art of the tablescape. The office is located in El Segundo and this position would require office hours (minimum 8 per week but ideally 10-18). Since we are a rental company there would be physical organization, inventory checks and sorting as a part of this job rather than a lot of paperwork. We work with some of the largest, most respected event planning companies in the nation and have been featured in People Magazine, Us Weekly, California Wedding Day, The Huffington Post, Martha Stewart and more. We are regularly featured on all the major wedding blogs, so this is a great place to learn about the events industry and the key players.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Adaptability to change and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be highly detailed and extremely organized with the ability to follow-up to complete a project independently. Must have excellent writing, grammar, and proof-reading skills and be able to conduct yourself in a professional and precise manner through phone and email.


-work under the guidance of company owner, helping with in house photo-shoots, client relations, hospitality communications
-assist with blog submissions
-assist with all social media {FB, Twitter, Google +, Pinterest, Instagram}
- contribute to weekly relevant blog posts
-event day of assistance including assistance with tabletop set-up, tear down and day of event tasks
-contribute to supporting the team with event management, organization, inventory processing and communications.

Intern to hire- we may hire all interns who show the right blend of skills and work ethic


-Must live within 30 miles (preferably closer) of LAX (our office is located five minutes southwest of LAX)
-Be committed to working 2 days a week (minimum) for 4-5 hours (minimum) totaling minimum 8-10 hours for no less than 90 days.
-Have some knowledge of web development platform in order to update and keep blog content current
-Be able to lift 15-40 lbs and be on your feet for much of the day.
-Have knowledge of all major social media outlets
-MUST have a positive, hard-working attitude and work well with minimal supervision
-Must be accountable and responsible for showing up to work on time and when expected
-Possess skills at assessing issues, defining solutions, and implementing strategy
-Perform well in environment that values leadership, efficiency, dependability, and organization
-Be able to work as part of a team
-Must own a vehicle
-Must own a personal laptop computer
-Must be at least 18 years of age
