Description

LA Mother is a secret members’ society based in Hollywood. Situated between the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the film and photography studios of Sunset Boulevard, our headquarters are comprised of a coworking space, a multi-purpose events venue and a development agency.

We are seeking an Event Management Intern for a three-month placement at our busy Hollywood offices and events space. We offer full college credit, lunch bursary, as well as the opportunity to stay on with the company in a paid capacity, for the right candidate.

In this role you will learn how to:

Plan an event
Market events
Build a roster of clients
Make relationships with providers
Set design for events
Create content marketing based around events
Upsell event services
Upsell creative services

This role would be perfect for:

Anyone wanting to work as in the entertainment industry
A recent graduate of marketing, PR, design, set design or communication
Persons wanting to gain event experience
Anyone needed to learn administration and research skills in a working environment
Anyone wanting to learn how to design sets for clients
Anyone wanting to learn digital marketing skills

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

Learn event administration
Learn research and development skills
Learn sales and marketing skills
Work with the relationship manager for our clients
Assure all our clients are connected with the marketing team where relevant
Upsell services to our clients
Uphold fantastic customer service for our clients at all times
Successfully run a marketing campaign from end to end, using both online & offline tools
Create content that appeals to the nightlife industry
Learn to manage guestlists
Learn how to target potential sponsors
Liaise with a range of clients from the entertainment industry
Make contacts

About You: We are looking for a candidate with excellent customer service, administration & interpersonal skills. We want to work with someone ambitious, who sees this internship as a chance to learn for a lifelong career in event planning. We will equip you with the skills you need to land a paid role as a wedding planning, marketing or sales assistant, should your performance meet our standards.
