DescriptionCOMPANY: Plan It Perfect, LLC. Located in the heart of the Historic Mount Vernon district of Baltimore City, in close proximity to many prestigious event venues. We also have a home office in Fulton, MD (Howard County).
Seeking a future event planner, eager to learn. Anyone who plans to pursue a career in the event industry is welcome to apply. This internship opportunity will provide you with valuable experience that can be applied toward starting one's own business or working for a larger firm.
The company owner is planning to be on Maternity leave in January and part of February. Some days, she will need assisstance at her home office in Fulton, and other days she will need help via telecommute. The intern will be able to provide some assistance from their own home.
START DATE: As soon as possible
JOB HOURS: 1-2 weekdays per week, 10am-4pm
Plus, various additional days as needed and scheduled ahead of time
Some weekends required
ResponsibilitiesTASKS MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Assisting with answering emails while Plan It Perfect owner is on maternity leave.
Participation in client/vendor meetings
Pricing and scope research
Scheduling appointments with clients and vendors/venues
Data entry, administrative assistance, file maintenance, clerical work.
Writing blogs, newsletter articles and social media posts
Update and maintain advertising platforms
RequirementsMust have your own laptop with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Photoshop skills are preferred, but not mandatory.
Must be comfortable making cold calls.
Business-casual dress in the office is welcomed.
Meeting days will require professional attire.
Proficiency in social media including Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
Must exhibit impeccable organization skills.
Must have their own transportation
Must be capable of technical and creative writing
No experience necessary, although it is appreciated.
Self-starter, motivated, cheerful.
