DescriptionMile High Wine Tours is Denver’s premier Wine Tour. We are looking for an Event Coordinator intern who is available to plan regular event gatherings for wine club members. They will need to independently meet, coordinate and work with owners of venues to plan, and oversee all functions.
This person will be in charge of helping to create partnerships with wine shops, distributors and venues to coordinate events. They will also be responsible for the check in desk at the events. The position is key to the development of Mile High Wine Tours Wine Club that will be launched towards the beginning of the year. You will be working closely with the marketing team to implement a launching campaign for the wine club and its events.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with event logistics
Assist with planning of existing and potential marketing events
Coordinate procurement of supplies in advance of events
Assist in the packing for and marketing setup at events
Shuttle supplies to and from events when applicable
Onsite Event Support
Attend a variety of marketing events ranging from Visit Denver events, trade shows to our own events.
Interact and engage with event attendees, clients and passersby. This will include asking people to sign up for contests, newsletters and other marketing initiatives
Marketing Team Support
Supplement team’s social media activities where applicable
Contribute to marketing meetings
Assist with photo and video support where necessary
Contribute to Mile High Wine Tours various blogs as appropriate
*NOTE: All positions are remote work from home positions with regular in-person team meetings.
RequirementsSome previous experience in event planning is preferred.
Enthusiasm and knowledge of the event industry is preferred.
Candidate should be outgoing and completely comfortable striking up conversations with complete strangers
Candidates should be well-organized, able to handle multiple assignments, and have clear communication skills
Current enrollment in a marketing, advertising, journalism, event coordinating, hospitality, tourism or communications program preferred
20-25 hours per week
You must be at least 18 years of age
