Through continual, on-going fundraising of international and themed social events that provide cultural significance and awareness for businesses and families in the community.
Description: The Event Planning and Fundraising Intern will assist the event coordinator in planning, promoting, marketing and public relations to organize all aspects of current events. Secure financial and product donations by networking with business entrepreneurs, companies, organizations, professionals, volunteers and individuals via telephone, direct mail, social media. Intern will gain experience in Marketing, Event Planning, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Business Management, Hospitality, Sharpen your Public Speaking & Leadership skills, Entrepreneurship, Finance and building professional relationships through B2B Networking.
ResponsibilitiesOn the job experience with involvement in community service through cultural awareness themed events. The intern will be a crucial member of the community relations committee and learn from professionals by networking in the industry. The intern will contribute to all aspects of events: assist with event logistics, working with volunteers, materials distribution, entertainment and supply procurement, database maintenance, special projects, secure in-kind donations, and more.
•Contact and establish relationships with vendors as needed to move event logistics forward
•Research in securing appropriate vendors, sponsors and donations of food, entertainment and décor for themed events
•Create and coordinate marketing campaign to promote event
•Organize and purchase supplies for event as needed with Sponsor donations and no out of pocket costs
•Set up registration tables, decorate and be the point person on day of event
•Draft and send communication to attendees before and thank you lettres after the event
•Brainstorm and create ideas that enrich the community
•Distribute promotional materials to the community
•Collect information and update database to maintain customer contact lists, social media networks, web sites
•Organize promotional files and items

RequirementsBusiness in Phoenix, AZ
**Virtual; You may work remotely however be available in Phoenix for meetings, networking and events.
I do not work out of an office, I meet with clients in Phoenix. Therefore the intern would be able to work wherever they prefer, virtually, however will attend meetings in Phoenix.
Must be Professional, Positive, Outgoing, Honest, & Self-Motivated
Skills: Entrepreneurial, detail oriented, creative writing, verbal communications skills. Ability to schedule meetings, negotiate and make decisions quickly. Creative Thinking, Teamwork, & Organizational Skills
Ideal candidate attributes: passion, creativity, motivated, empowering person with interest and knowledge of French language, culture and connections
