DescriptionWe like to offer a Modern take on Planning by providing convenience with Apps and Web-based services. We offer a variety packages that are all about efficiency. This program is designed to start you with working knowledge and experience that you can apply to any part of the event industry. It will also be a stepping stone in deciding if the event industry is a good fit for you. Many believe that they belong in this industry but very few stay to grow a fruitful career or business. Here is what you will learn during this Internship:

This internship will force you to think creatively and instinctively. If you are looking for an internship where someone constantly watches over you and tells you what to do, this is not it! We are only accepting interns that can handle the following duties:
Contacting Vendors to confirm arrival and start times
Attending Client Walk-through Appointments
Attending Event Rehearsals
Setup of Event Decor and special items
Directing Guest and providing assistance
Managing Vendor operations
Ensuring smooth flow according to timeline
Breaking down decor at the end of event
This internship is 12 weeks long with a minimum of 4 events attended as a requirement. Events available are posted at least 4 weeks prior to the event date. Interns are required to respond on attendance no later than 3 weeks prior to the event date. No shows to any scheduled event will automatically end the internship program. Communication is Key in this field and professionalism is golden. Please be responsible for communicating availability.
We are based in Maryland but do have events over the Maryland, DC and Virginia area. Interns will have to be available on weekends and at least two days per week.
ResponsibilitiesPosting to Social Media using analytic data to manage a successful campaign. Interacting with vendors and clients to provide Day of Event setup, management and breakdown. Research into industry Networking events in the Metro Area.
Requirements- Provide links to 1-3 social networking profiles to demonstrate interest and knowledge
- Possesses skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and customer management
- Performs well in environment that values creativity, flexibility, and variety
- Exhibits personal qualities, such as open-mindedness, enthusiasm, and adaptability
- Prefers challenges, fast pace, new ideas, future focus, and unstructured environment
- Must be organized and self sufficient in completing assigned tasks
