My Girlfriend’s House is a nonprofit organization located in Capitol Heights, Maryland. My Girlfriend’s House was created to combat the issues facing women and teen girls dealing with social, financial and personal needs. My Girlfriend’s House’s mission is to empower women and teen girls to become confident and valuable members of the community by enriching their spirit, mind, and body.

We are looking to add interns to our office who are motivated to further our mission by helping us enhance our identity.


The Event Planning Intern will be responsible for managing monthly program-level events and also coordinate fundraising events for the organization. They will assist the Executive Director and Program Manager with fundraising opportunities as well as communication with community sponsors and vendors.

****Intern must commit to at least 16 hours per week for 6 months.

We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.


The Event Planning Intern must be able to manage multiple tasks at once, make decisions independently and ensure the smooth and efficient running of an event.

Excellent communication skills is required.
Requires a 6 month commitment with a minimum of 16 hours per week.
