Description

Leading Authorities Inc (LAI) is one of the nation’s most prominent speaker’s bureaus, with unique capabilities in lecture representation, media and event production, and entertainment. Our mission is to help organizations create powerful meeting experiences and messages using world class talent, entertainment and creative media. The primary responsibility of this unpaid internship is to provide support to and assist with the day-to-day operations of our production department. This position offers the right candidate a unique opportunity to learn the ins and out production.

Position reports to Production Manager, Production
Location: Washington, DC

Job Duties:
•Work closely with Production Manager, Creative and Technical Directors, and Vice President on assigned projects
•Assist with organization, planning and execution of meetings and events
•Assist with development and assembly of event timelines and materials
•Assist with research for new vendors, venues and opportunities
•Assist with the development and maintenance of a contacts database
•Assist with creation of various PowerPoint and Keynote presentations
•Provide general administrative support as needed

Requirements

Knowledge of or experience with the following software programs a plus:
•Microsoft Office
•PowerPoint and / or Keynote
•Meeting Matrix

Qualifications:
•Current student learning in a related program at the junior or senior level
•Flexibility to work between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. - Monday through Friday
•Availability and willingness to work additional hours as needed to support special events and projects
•Ability to juggle multiple projects while working in a fast-paced environment
•Focused on details and excellent organizational skills a plus
•Must possess a positive attitude and be able to work individually or as a contributing member of a team
