Description

Family Office in Chicago seeks an Events Intern. Must currently be a student to be eligible.

Overall Job Purpose
o Supports Events Coordinator with conceptual development and implementation of strategic projects for events, branding communications, business development, external community and donor relations.
o Provides events, communications and marketing support within DEMI organization.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
o Supports design and production of print and digital marketing materials within specified timeline.
o Writes, edits, and fact checks copy for external communications, ensuring all materials follow branding guidelines.
o Oversees social media activity and creates social media content.
o Organizes, maintains, and manages photography archives. Designs and implements system to manage marketing archives.
o Manages pre-event logistics, including invitation mailings, attendance and RSVPs, event collateral design and printing, purchasing logistics and guest relations.
o Assists with day-of event logistics, including registration setup and staffing.
o Completes photography, web design, and/or research projects as needed.

o Meticulous, differentiated attention to detail.
o Smart problem solving, organizational skills, and adaptability.
o Excellent initiative, taking personal ownership of own work while also collaborating effectively in team settings.
o Demonstrated effectiveness in driving social media engagement, in particular Instagram and Facebook.
o Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
o Experience creating graphics and design concepts using the Adobe Creative Suite and design & photo editing applications for iPhone (e.g. VSCO, PicLab Studio, Fotor, Camera+, Layout, etc.).
o Interest in graphic design, marketing, communications, digital media, and/or events encouraged.
o Interest in growing knowledge of photography, fashion design, and fashion construction encouraged.
