Wedding Planner seeks creative, motivated Individual for Internship Position

(Midtown Manhattan)

We are a renowned event and wedding planning company that specializes in South

Asian weddings, based in New York City. Having received many accolades and industry-

recognized awards, we pride ourselves on planning exclusive events in the tri-state area

and abroad.

With over ten years experience, a published book and more than 650 weddings in the

US and around the world, we are considered by many to be the lead industry experts in

Indian weddings. We run a successful internship program offering unpaid internships for

personal gain or school credit ranging from 3-6 months, and are currently looking for

outgoing, intelligent and personable candidates to join our team!

We are currently looking for creative and highly motivated people to join our team, both

in the NYC office and as day-of coordinators at various events throughout the year. If

you believe you have what it takes to join one of the top event planning companies in

Responsibilities

- Administration work, including but not limited to: filing, creating documents,

answering emails and responding to telephone calls, proofing contracts and

invitations, mailing books and parcels

- Attending meetings with vendors and clients where you will represent the

company and its employees

- Public Relations skills: updating the company’s social media platforms on a daily

basis (twitter, facebook, pinterest, instagram etc) as well as writing and

publishing bi-weekly blog posts.

- Assisting in the detailed planning and execution of events in the Tri-State area

and abroad

- Maintaining a professional appearance at all times

Requirements

- Previous experience in event management or hospitality is preferred, but not a

pre-requisite

- A valid Passport/ Driver’s License (travel is often required for events)

- Must have a basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Gmail, Power Point

- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Must be personable and engaging

- Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines on a weekly basis
