Description

We are looking for interns who have a passion for the event industry with a focus in marketing/public relations.

This is ideal for a person who love an active life and really interested in learning more about festivals and events.

Interns are required to work 36 to 40 hours a week leading up to the event (no pay). Day before and Day of the Festival - Intern will be paid at a rate of $20.00 per hour, plus a bonus based on performance.

((This opportunity can become a paid full-time job, for the right candidate, with options to travel with the festival as we operate in other cities)).

Students will have the opportunity to develop skills and gain experience in fundraising, event planning, and community relations. This is a great opportunity for students to gain practical experiences and essential skills that will prepare them for their future careers.

Responsibilities

You will assist the Senior Event Planner with event planning, sponsor identification and recruitment, volunteer recruitment and management, marketing and development, logistics, vendor recruitment, site map planning, promoting event, public relations and social media management.

Requirements

-Possess excellent written and verbal communication
-Possess multi-tasking and coordination experience
-Demonstrate attention to detail
-Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
-Experience using Social Media is a plus
-Experience in Marketing & Public Relation is a plus
-Actively demonstrate the ideals team player, get-it-done, fast moving, want to learn & grow
-Able to work 36/40 hours per week
