DescriptionResponsible for coordinating the communications output within a company. Creates and delivers email marketing campaigns, solicits sponsors and vendors for family focused events. Participate in planning events as well as working alongside volunteers and event coordinators.
ResponsibilitiesCreate company literature and other forms of communication.
Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
Work with advertisers for timely and useable ad submissions,
Copy,edit, proofread, and revise communications.
Design and launch email marketing campaigns.
Recommend, implement and maintain site design and operation.
Plan and deliver education courses and materials.
Work with manager and business units to determine event budget and manage expenses to that budget.
Promote products and services through public relations initiatives.
Develop marketing communications campaigns.
Create thought leadership materials.
Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals.
Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for key media contacts and customer references.
Research media coverage and industry trends.
Develop fresh story ideas.
Conduct extensive media outreach.
Prepare briefing materials.
Coordinate scheduling and logistics.
Coordinate conference, trade shows, and press interviews.
Coordinate speaking engagements and video content.
Prepare agendas and conduct research.
Work closely with internal and external resources to design and produce creative, effective marketing promotions from messaging and design to audience analysis, selection, and evaluation.
•Represent marketing at both internal and external meetings and conferences related to assigned area(s).
•Monitor marketing expenses against marketing budget to ensure targets are met.
•Monitor, review, and report on marketing activities and results.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or communications required
•1 - 3 years of demonstrated experience in a corporate marketing department or marketing agency
•Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
•Experience with transforming content into marketing copy
•Strong ability to manage without authority
•Capable of successfully juggling multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines with minimal supervision
•Some experience with high volume direct and database marketing best practices
•Strategic orientation and tactical focus
•High-level of drive, discipline, creativity and self-motivation
•Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and change-oriented team environment
•Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, analytical, negotiation, budgeting, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
•Ability to negotiate with external vendors
•Excellent computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and MS Outlook)
•Experience with e-marketing tools (Eloqua, Vocus, WordPress, etc. preferred)
•Experience with sales tools (Microsoft CRM preferred)
