DescriptionStart-up organization with two divisions (for profit and nonprofit) seeks intern to assist with research, proposals, data base mgmt. social media and event planning and execution. Start as soon as possible working in home or co-op office. Must have great computer skills (and own computer) and command of the English language for proofreading correspondence, webpages, emails and proposals. Chance to attend meetings, professional development sessions and special events. Business owner is launching two companies, one nonprofit education organization and one for profit consulting business. As a start up only a small travel stipend is available.
ResponsibilitiesWe will guide you through training, best practices, share trends and resources. You be willing to patiently guide senior level team through new tech resources and apps and bring your skills and interests to our education based nonprofit and marketing agencies' work. You will conduct research and write (take initiative and you will have a portfolio at the end of internship).
RequirementsHave an interest in at least one of the following: business/marketing/special events, entertainment industry, education and/or technology. Good writing and speaking skills, not afraid to pick up the phone and call anyone. Takes initiative and can research anything. Hours and location are flexible, but there will be deadlines to meet. Please have own computer, own car (or Uber account), writing and speaking skills, and six to 20 hours available each week.
