DescriptionWe are seeking a diligent, proactive and dependable intern looking for an opportunity to learn the ends and outs of art production and management. Culture Complex is a consultancy who provides the following services:

Responsibilities*Writing proposals- Via a template, you will write art show proposals to use in outreach to potential venues, sponsors and artists.
*Venue scouting- Scout and solidify venues for upcoming events or art shows. Confirm contract signatures.
*Sponsorship outreach- Depending upon the curator/artist statement find sponsorship opportunities re: venue, food etc.
*Non-Profit outreach- Every show will incorporate a non-profit partner. Depending upon the curator/artist statement, find and solidify non-profit partnership. Confirm contract signatures.
*Create Artist Profiles- Per the vision of the curator, create artist profiles/checklist. This will be used when scouting and recruiting emerging artists.
*Scout & Recruit Emerging Artists- Per the vision of the curator, scout and contact emerging artists fitting the profile.
*Schedule artist talks & panel discussions- Ea. art show will have an opening reception that will include an artist talk. Schedule the artist talk, and confirm all relevant logistics.
*Errands- Run errands relative to art show logistics.
*Day of Show Logistics- Confirm that all tasks on the day of show checklist are completed.
*Staff Management- Confirm all staff needed for day of show operations i.e. Art installers, host/hostess, food/spirits, videographer, photographer
*Manage Curator’s Calendar-Manage Curator's calendar, appearances, events etc.
*Contract Management- Confirm that all artists, 3rd parties have signed relevant NDA's and contracts prior to beginning work.
*Finance- Manage all receipts, organize expenses. Manage budget.
Requirements*Must show previous experience ( though it can be minimal) or current enrollment in art related area of study.
*Must be organized.
*Must be proactive and will not need a lot of guidance to take a project from start to finish.
*Must be driven by transparency and have great communication skills.
*Must be able to adhere to professional guidelines when interacting on the behalf of Culture Complex.
*Must have a love for art and emerging artistry.
*Maintains a positive attitude.
*Demonstrates great time management skills.
*Maintains a level of confidentiality and discreteness.
*Must be available 10 hours per week.
