DescriptionWe are currently seeking an intern for an up-and-coming non-profit theatre company in Washington, DC.
The internship will require you to act as a liaison between the company's executive administrators and prospective clients, theatres, and business partners. You will be tasked with managing elements of production, as well as working with the Executive Director. You will become the front line for our executives when they cannot be present, delivering necessary information regarding our brand, our mission, our vision, and our short term goals. Event planning and managing skills would be nice. You will also act in negotiations between potential partners and work as a contact for them in-house.
Responsibilities- Assist in developing and contributing to public relations and marketing activities
-Meet at potential sites with clients
-Plan production meetings and locations
-Handle tasks from Executive Director that require you to plan production elements
-Act primarily as a liaison between potential clients, theatres, and partners
-Be in the field, answer questions in person and negotiating terms
- Interact with internal departments to carry out client requirements such as scheduling advertising; monitoring account activities; and managing production activities
- Coordinate with news media as assigned, in development of appropriate news stories
- Maintain up-to-date customer and prospect records
Requirements- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inform and entertain via written, oral and visual media.
